Collymore hails Chelsea's stunning Villa display

Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has hailed Chelsea's performance against his former side as the 'best team performance' he's seen 'for some time'.

Collymore, who watched Chelsea beat Villa 4-1 at Villa Park, took to X to praise the visitors. He wrote: 'No complaints here. Filleted by better players playing through several gears rather than one, wonderful individual performances backed up with high press, discipline and enterprise. Best team performance I've seen at B6 for some time. Well done, Chelsea.'

The Blues were dominant throughout, with Joao Pedro scoring a hat-trick and Cole Palmer adding a lovely goal from open play. Collymore's comments add further weight to an impressive team performance that saw Chelsea record a commanding victory away from home.
