Arsenal have been in talks with Bayern Munich over the future of midfielder Leon Goretzka, who is set to depart the club when his contract expires. The 31‑year‑old, who has made 21 Bundesliga appearances this season and scored twice, would bring Champions League experience to Mikel Arteta’s midfield.
Italian clubs Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus have also expressed interest, but Goretzka’s preferred destination appears to be the Premier League. Arsenal’s midfield already features Declan Rice and Martin Ødegaard, but the addition of a seasoned player could add depth for European competition.
