KL Rahul has brought up his ninth ODI century, producing an excellent innings in the third ODI against the West Indies and taking complete control of the middle overs for India.

The early dismissals of Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli meant the pressure was on the middle order to steady the innings.

Rahul stepped up exactly when it mattered, finding the boundaries consistently and taking the attack to the West Indies bowlers. His innings comprised 10 fours and six sixes, coming at a strike-rate of 148.28.

Rahul brought up his century in style, sending the ball over fine leg for a six before continuing his assault with a succession of boundaries and maximums.

He eventually finished with 129, which marks his personal best ODI score. It also powered India to a formidable total of 351.
