Les Marseillaises ajoutent une nouvelle joueuse à leur effectif d’Arkema Première Ligue.

L’OM a officialisé, ce vendredi, l’arrivée de la défenseure Nelly Da Cruz en provenance du FC Nantes où elle évoluait depuis 2023. L’internationale portugaise de 23 ans s’est engagée pour deux saisons, soit jusqu’en 2028 et effectue un retour au sein du club provençal lors de la saison 2022-2023.

Bonne nouvelle pour Didier Deschamps. Alors qu’ils étaient sous la menace d’une suspension avant la demi-finale, Michael Olise, Manu Koné et Bradley Barcola pourront finalement bien disputer la prochaine échéance des Bleus avec un compteur vierge.

Les trois joueurs français avaient reçu un carton jaune lors du huitième de finale face au Paraguay. De fait, un nouvel avertissement contre le Maroc en quarts de finale aurait été synonyme de suspension automatique pour la demi-finale face à l’Espagne ou à la Belgique.

Mais finalement, le scénario redouté n’a pas eu lieu. Lors de la victoire française face aux marocains (2-0), aucun des trois joueurs concernés n’a été averti. Une excellente nouvelle pour l’équipe de France, qui pourra donc compter sur l’intégralité de son groupe pour tenter de décrocher une place en finale.

Une qualification qui permettrait aux Bleus d’atteindre le dernier match de la compétition pour la troisième fois consécutive, après les finales disputées en 2018 et 2022.

Les cartons remis à zéro après les quarts

Comme prévu par le règlement de cette Coupe du monde à 48 équipes, les cartons jaunes ont été annulés à l’issue des quarts de finale. Les joueurs ne seront donc plus menacés en cas d’avertissement lors des demi-finales.

Cette édition du Mondial aura donc connu deux remises à zéro des cartons : une première après la phase de groupes, puis une seconde après les quarts de finale. Une mesure qui permet d’éviter qu’un joueur soit privé d’une finale potentielle à cause d’un carton reçu plusieurs matchs auparavant.

Deux joueurs sous surveillance dans Espagne-Belgique

Du côté de l’autre quart de finale entre l’Espagne et la Belgique, deux joueurs restent toutefois concernés par une éventuelle suspension. Ferran Torres côté espagnol et Brandon Mechele côté belge devront éviter un nouvel avertissement.

Pour la France, c’est donc une véritable opportunité. Les Bleus abordent leur prochain rendez-vous avec toutes leurs forces disponibles, à seulement une victoire d’une nouvelle finale de Coupe du monde.
