Undav, Nagelsmann Continue Spat Despite Winning Goal

Despite scoring the decisive goal against Ghana, Deniz Undav remains embroiled in a public disagreement with Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann. The Stuttgart striker, in fine club form, was benched for the match against Switzerland before coming on at halftime against Ghana.

Nagelsmann acknowledged the goal but criticized Undav's performance until the 88th minute, stating: 'Up until the goal, I didn't consider his performance to be very good. He didn't have many chances; none at all actually and he barely touched the ball.' Undav responded by accepting his current role as a substitute but added: 'My role can change with every goal. It's ultimately up to the coach, but I'm looking to improve my lot.'
