Tour de France: Breakaway Leads Catalonia Stage

A three-rider breakaway has established a 3:20 lead in the 168.5km second stage from Tarragona to Barcelona.

Alex Molenaar (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), Frank van den Broeck (Picnic PostNL) and German champion Felix Engelhardt (Jayco Alula) form the leading group as the Tour de France continues through Catalonia.

Meanwhile, Lotto Intermarché rider Baptiste Veistroffer briefly found himself isolated when the main peloton slowed for a nature break. The 168.5km stage is the second of the Tour de France 2026. syntagm.co.za
