Oliver Solberg has taken the lead in the Sardinia rally, putting significant pressure on championship leader Elfyn Evans. The Norwegian-Swedish driver needs to gain 21 points on Evans for the title to end in his hands, with Finnish competitor Sami Pajari also still in contention.
After winning two of three speed tests on Saturday morning, Solberg overtook the lead after the third speed test. Evans currently sits in sixth place, with the championship leader having little room for error. With 25 points for the winner, 17 for second, and 15 for third, Solberg could close much of the gap if he finishes strongly. Additional points (5 for Sunday's overall winner and 5 for the final speed test winner) add further intrigue to the title race. chincha.pl
