Tadej Pogacar secured the red leader's jersey in La Vuelta's opening time trial by a narrow margin. The Slovenian cyclist, returning to the Spanish race after his first appearance in 2019, immediately demonstrated his potential by winning the inaugural stage.

Evans Expects to Play Week 1

The league fined the Cats $100,000 on Thursday for failing to inform it of a change to Jake Kolodjashnij’s contract, previously described as a “waiver” by AFL Commission chair and former Cats president Craig Drummond.
