The German ski resort of Oberstdorf was selected as the host venue for the 2031 Nordic Ski World Championships, defeating Planica in Slovenia by a vote of 16-6. FIS President Alexander Ospelt praised Oberstdorf's "impressive bid" from "one of the most iconic places for Nordic skiing in the world."
Oberstdorf, which previously hosted the event in 2021 (when Norway won 13 gold medals), will be the venue for the prestigious competition. Trondheim hosted the 2025 edition of the championships. This will be the fourth time Oberstdorf has hosted the event, further cementing its status as a major hub in international skiing. tr-sport.click
