Fernando Mendoza, the recently drafted No. 1 overall pick by the Las Vegas Raiders, has received the prestigious Big Ten Jesse Owens Male Athlete of the Year award. The honor comes after Mendoza led Indiana to a CFP national championship and won the Heisman Trophy last season.
Mendoza became only the fourth player in the common draft era to win the Heisman, a national championship, and go No. 1 overall in the same season. He is the sixth Indiana student-athlete to receive this honor. chincha.pl
