Judge Clears RJ Luis Jr. to Play for LSU

RJ Luis Jr., who signed with LSU after stints with the Celtics and Jazz, has been cleared by a Louisiana judge to practice and play immediately.

East Baton Rouge Parish District Court Judge Ronald R. Johnson granted Luis a preliminary injunction against the NCAA on Monday evening.

The ruling allows the former St. John's standout to join the Tigers' lineup this season despite the NCAA's arguments regarding his eligibility. The judge ruled that Luis did not actually play professional basketball, allowing the legal process to continue. afsport.lat
