Hakkinen Returns in Senna's McLaren

Two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen has returned to the cockpit, driving Ayrton Senna's iconic MP4/6 at the Allwyn x McLaren Racing event in Athens.

The Finnish legend took to a bespoke track layout outside the Olympic Athletic Center (OAKA) in the historic 1991 championship-winning car. Fans also got a glimpse of the 2025 constructors' championship-winning MCL39. afrikasportnews.co.za

Hakkinen, who won titles in 1998 and 1999, expressed excitement about being back with McLaren at the special event. The demonstration marks a rare opportunity for fans to see a racing legend in action with one of F1's most famous cars.
