Guardians Place Arias on IL, Brito Makes Debut

The Cleveland Guardians placed shortstop Gabriel Arias on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring on Tuesday and called up Juan Brito for his MLB debut.

Juan Brito is batting sixth and playing second base in his big league debut against the Kansas City Royals. Manager Stephen Vogt expressed excitement about Brito's hitting ability, noting his plate discipline and power.

Arias suffered the injury running to second base on Monday night and is expected to miss at least a month. Bryyan Rocchio and Daniel Schneemann will serve as the primary shortstops in his absence.
