Giants All-Pro DT Lawrence requests trade, won't report to workouts

New York Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has reportedly requested a trade and will not participate in the team's upcoming offseason workout program.

The seven-year veteran and former first-round pick has been unable to reach a contract agreement with the organization over the last two offseasons.

A 6-foot-4, 340-pound cornerstone of the defense, Lawrence is expected to generate significant trade interest. The Cowboys, who have struggled against him (2-14 record), might welcome his departure from the division.
