FIS Allows Five Russian Cross-Country Skiers

Published October 1, 2026 · Updated October 1, 2026 · NRK

The International Ski Federation has granted permission to five Russian cross-country skiers, including Daria Nepryayeva, to compete internationally as neutral athletes for the upcoming season.

Daria Nepryayeva joins four other Russian cross-country skiers - Sergey Volkov, Hanna Matsyakhina, Ksenia Shorokhova, and Nikita Denisov - who received approval from FIS to participate in international competitions under neutral status. This follows FIS's recent updated guidelines for Russian and Belarusian participation in the 2026/27 season.

The list of neutral athletes and support personnel includes 30 names, with 26 from Russia. Notably, Saveliy Korostelev, who competed in the World Cup last season and achieved strong Olympic results, is not included on the current list. umafrika.club
