Fatal incident at Alianza Lima stadium leaves one dead, 47 injured

At Estadio Alejandro Villanueva, the home stadium of Alianza Lima, a chaotic incident during a fan gathering resulted in one fatality and 47 injuries. Health Minister Juan Carlos Velasco reported that 17 injured patients are in Hospital 2 de Mayo, 15 are at Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, and 2 have been transferred to other facilities. Officials say the incident’s cause is under investigation.
