Ex-Oregon State RB Waived, May Return to College

Hankerson, an undrafted rookie out of Oregon State, signed with the Seahawks last week and rushed for 10 yards on five carries in their preseason loss to Tennessee. He also caught two passes for nine yards. The 22-year-old is among 16 players who graduated high school in 2022 and became eligible for a fifth collegiate season due to a Louisiana court order last week.

Hankerson previously signed with Miami in April before being waived earlier this month. At Oregon State last season, he ran for 1,086 yards and nine touchdowns, adding 22 catches for 123 yards.
