3-Star CB Johnson Departs Alabama Commitment

Atlanta (Ga.) McEachern three-star cornerback Nash Johnson has decommitted from Alabama after originally pledging in November. Johnson has official visits scheduled with Tennessee, Auburn, Miami and Ole Miss as he evaluates his options.

Johnson, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound corner, initially chose Alabama over offers from Georgia and Georgia Tech. Since then, several schools including Tennessee, Auburn, Miami and Ole Miss have ramped up their recruitment efforts. The three-star prospect has been particularly impressed with his visit to Miami, calling the campus "dope" and noting the positive vibe.

"The vibe felt real — everybody was chill but serious about football," Johnson told Rivals' Chad Simmons. Auburn has also made a strong impression, with Johnson noting the program's development and his strong relationships with coaches Alex Golesh and DeMarcus Van Dyke, who he speaks with daily.
