2026 World Cup: Full 48-team field and groups set

The 48-team field for the 2026 World Cup is officially set after dramatic qualifiers featuring stunning upsets and historic moments. Bosnia & Herzegovina denied Italy a berth for the third straight time, while Turkey returned after 24 years and Congo DR qualified for its first tournament ever.

The tournament kicks off in Mexico City on June 11. Co-hosts Mexico, Canada, and the United States join Brazil, Germany, Argentina, and France in the expanded 48-team field, which also features the return of Turkey and the debut of Congo DR.
