Lusail SC unveil strategic partnerships for new season

Doha, Qatar: Lusail Sports Club has announced a series of strategic partnership agreements with leading companies and institutions for the 2026-27 sports season, at a ceremony held at The Torch Doha, yesterday. librea.one

The partnerships involve Qatari Diar, Aspire Zone Foundation, Doha International School, GWC, Fitogether and Fusion Group Holding, with each organisation taking a specific role in supporting the club’s long-term development.

Earlier this year, Lusail SC had launched a new five-year strategy aimed at developing sporting talent and strengthening institutional growth, following the football team’s historic promotion to the country’s top division - Qatar Stars League (QSL) - for the 2026-27 season.

Lusail SC chairman Nawaf Al Mudhahka had described the club’s football team’s promotion as a major milestone in the club’s long-term development strategy.

The club yesterday said the partnership agreements align with the Lusail SC's strategy to build a comprehensive and sustainable institutional sports system and strengthen partnerships with various sectors supporting sports and youth.

This step is in line with the vision and directives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Football Association, and the Qatar Stars League (QSL). It contributes to developing the sports system, enhancing governance and sustainability, expanding the fan base and participation, supporting talent and future generations, and contributing to the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, it stated.Lusail Sports Club Chairman Nawaf Mohammed Al-Mudahka with officials representing Aspire Zone Foundation Subsidiaries.

Qatari Diar has joined as a strategic partner, with the partnership strengthened by the shared connection between the company and Lusail Sports Club to Lusail City. The collaboration is expected to support the club’s growth and strengthen its role as a sporting institution reflecting the identity and ambitions of the city.

Aspire Zone Foundation Subsidiaries have also become strategic partners. The collaboration will allow Lusail Sports Club to benefit from Aspire’s expertise in sports, services and operations, while enhancing the club’s professional and institutional capabilities.

Doha International School joined as the club’s academic partner, supporting its efforts to link education and sport.

GWC has been named the club’s logistics partner. Its expertise in logistics services and solutions will support the club’s operational requirements and the management of sporting activities and events.

Fitogether will serve as the technology partner, supporting the club’s use of data and technology in player development. Its solutions will help technical staff monitor and analyse player performance, improve training programmes and support decision-making.

Fusion Group Holding has joined as the talent and youth development partner, supporting the club’s academy and junior programmes. The partnership will focus on identifying and developing young talent and creating a pathway for promising players to progress to higher levels.

Al Mudahka affirmed that these agreements represent part of a broader club strategy based on building long-term partnerships with institutions and companies that share the club’s vision and ambition. He added that Lusail Club seeks to build a modern model for a sports club, one that is competitive on the field and institutionally strong in its operations.

Lusail SC will begin their QSL campaign with the opening clash against Al Rayyan at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Thursday at 7.30pm.

افتُتحت مساء أمس في الدوحة أعمال الدراسة الدولية للحكام، التي ينظمها الاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة، بمشاركة 15 حكماً من مختلف قارات العالم، وذلك بالتزامن مع استضافة دولة قطر لبطولة العالم للناشئين تحت 17 سنة للكرة الطائرة – قطر 2026.
وتهدف الدراسة إلى تأهيل وترقية الحكام الدوليين المعتمدين على مستوى القارات إلى حكام دوليين في الاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة – الفئة C، بما يؤهلهم للمشاركة في إدارة مختلف البطولات العالمية، وليس البطولات القارية فقط.
وتأتي مشاركة الحكام في بطولة العالم للناشئين تحت 17 سنة بالدوحة كخطوة أولى في مسار التصنيف الدولي، حيث يحصل المشاركون على مسمى حكم دولي بالاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة – فئة C، على أن يمثل هذا التصنيف مرحلة أولى في مسيرتهم نحو الترقية مستقبلاً إلى الفئتين B وA.
ويشرف على إدارة الدراسة السيد وايلي بارديس، رئيس لجنة قواعد اللعبة والتحكيم بالاتحاد الدولي للكرة الطائرة، بمساعدة المحاضرين الدوليين جوي برادبيري من كندا وزوركا من صربيا، حيث تتضمن الدراسة محاضرات وجوانب تطبيقية تهدف إلى تطوير مستوى الحكام ورفع جاهزيتهم لإدارة المنافسات الدولية.
ويمثل دولة قطر في هذه الدراسة الحكم الدولي عاطف اليافعي، الذي يشارك إلى جانب نخبة من الحكام القادمين من مختلف أنحاء العالم.

انطلقت في جمهورية سلوفاكيا منافسات بطولة العالم العسكرية للقفز المظلي «السيزم»، بمشاركة المنتخب القطري للقفز المظلي التابع للجنة قطر للرياضات الجوية بالقوات الخاصة المشتركة، إلى جانب منتخبات 33 دولة، وتستمر منافسات البطولة حتى 23 أغسطس الجاري.
ويتطلع المنتخب القطري إلى خوض منافسة قوية وتحقيق أفضل النتائج، ومواصلة سلسلة الإنجازات التي حققها في المشاركات القارية والدولية، في ظل ما يمتلكه من خبرات وإمكانات فنية كبيرة في رياضة القفز المظلي. ويمثل المنتخب القطري في البطولة فريق الهدف، الذي يُعد من الفرق المتميزة عالميًا، وسبق له تحقيق العديد من الإنجازات والنتائج اللافتة، الجدير بالذكر بأن المنتخب القطري هو صاحب أرقام قياسية عالمية، من أبرزها دخول موسوعة غينيس للأرقام القياسية بأكبر تشكيل تشابك بالمظلات ليلاً في العالم، فضلًا عن تقديمه العديد من العروض الجوية المبهرة.
وتشهد المشاركة القطرية حضورًا في منافسات الفردي والجماعي، حيث يشارك محمد المري في فئة السنيورز «فردي»، فيما يضم الفريق الجماعي كلًا من عبدالعزيز عبدالله، وخالد شاجع، وصالح العبيدي، ومحمد العطاس. كما يشارك علي اليافعي وصالح الكربي في فئة الجنيورز «فردي».
ويشارك المنتخب القطري في بطولة العالم العسكرية للقفز المظلي منذ عام 2010، حيث واصل حضوره في هذا الاستحقاق الدولي، مؤكدًا مكانته بين أبرز المنتخبات في هذه الرياضة.
هزاع حمد العطية: هدفنا مواصلة الإنجازات
أكد النقيب هزاع حمد العطية، الأمين العام للجنة قطر للرياضات الجوية، أن المشاركة في بطولة العالم العسكرية تمثل محطة مهمة للمنتخب القطري، مشيرًا إلى أن الفريق يدخل المنافسات بطموح كبير لتحقيق أفضل النتائج. وقال العطية: «نحن فخورون بمشاركة منتخبنا في هذه البطولة العالمية، ونتطلع إلى تقديم مستوى يليق باسم قطر ومواصلة الإنجازات التي حققها فريق القفز المظلي خلال السنوات الماضية. المشاركة في بطولة تضم 33 دولة تمثل تحديًا كبيرًا، لكنها في الوقت نفسه فرصة مهمة للاحتكاك بأفضل الفرق العالمية وإظهار قدرات لاعبينا». وأضاف: «استعد الفريق بصورة جيدة من خلال المعسكر الإعدادي في سلوفاكيا، ونتمنى أن ينعكس ذلك على الأداء خلال المنافسات.

Been looking at investing in one of these saddles for a while. I have struggled to find a comfortable saddle that I can use without getting a sore posterior. I have been through a few without finding what I was looking for. Even trying personally scanned 3D Printed saddle without huge success. So, I decided to pull the plug on the Wove V8 Saddle from Sported.ae with the twin outback bottle holder. (You can mount just one bottle straight onto the back of the saddle).

The first thing that strikes you is how light the saddle is, I know it’s not our first consideration in triathlon. But it is impressive. The saddle needed adjusting slightly differently to my old saddle. But as soon as I took it out for its first ride, I could feel the comfort, it is as comfortable sat further back on an easy ride or sat on the nose really pushing the power.

In its first month of use it has done about 800kms including a 70.3 and I am really impressed.
